About Us
Jay and his identical twin brother, James, were known as the “Good Ol’ Boys” back in high school — a name that would eventually become the foundation of the family business.
After high school, both brothers attended Ranger College on full-ride baseball scholarships, where they earned an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Welding Technology. During their time at Ranger College, Jay and James were also awarded Welders of the Year, recognizing their skill and dedication to the trade.
After graduating, Jay and James went to work for another welding company while spending their weekends taking on side jobs and building Good Ol’ Boys Welding together.
Over time, Jay continued growing Good Ol’ Boys Welding into what it is today. James still works alongside his brother whenever he can, keeping the roots of the business close to where it all began.
That family tradition has continued with Jay’s sons. His oldest son, Ty, owns his own welding company and often teams up with Jay on larger projects. Ty has played an important role in helping Jay grow Good Ol’ Boys Welding over the years. Jay’s youngest son, Mason, also helps whenever he isn’t in school or on the baseball field.
What began with two brothers, a shared nickname, and weekend welding jobs has grown into a family-driven business built on years of experience, hard work, and pride in doing things right.
Good Ol’ Boys Welding is licensed and bonded, and Jay is a certified welder skilled in Stick, MIG, TIG, and Oxy-Acetylene welding. From barns and barndominiums to custom and automatic gates, top-rail fencing, ADA handrails, fabrication, repairs, and odd jobs, we bring experience and quality craftsmanship to every project.
At Good Ol’ Boys Welding, we’re proud of where we came from — and even prouder to put our family name and reputation behind every job we do.
